Richard D. Henry was born in Louisiana and at the age of 6 moved to South Carolina. He started his musical career at the early age of fourteen playing on a regular radio show with his Daddy and Aunt. They mostly played at square dances and churches. Since those early days, he has played many styles of music including pop, country, and rock-n-roll and now his favorite -- bluegrass. He is a member of B.M.I. and I.B.M.A. Also, he is a member of the Lone Star State Country Music Association and is a recipient of their Bluegrass Hall of Fame Award.
